There will be a nice set of Python talks at CodeMash. Some folks pointed out that Python isn't mentioned on the front page of the CodeMash website, but we certainly didn't want the Python folks to feel under-represented.

CodeMash will be the site of the launch of a new book from O’Reilly: “Windows Developer Power Tools” by James Avery and Jim Holmes will have its official launch on Friday, 19 January. “Windows Developer Power Tools”, published by O’Reilly, covers over 170 freeware and open source tools to help software developer be more productive and write higher quality software.

In addition to the planned talks, there will be an opportunity for all conference attendees to participate in an Open Spaces forum at CodeMash.
Bruce Eckel will provide an introduction to Open Spaces immediately following the Expert Panel on Languages discussion (scheduled for Wednesday, Jan 17 at 7 pm). After that, Open Spaces talks can be proposed!

Dianne Marsh, organizing committee member of the CodeMash Conference and CodeMash speaker, and Bill Wagner, CodeMash speaker, appeared on the Internet Talk Radio Show "Dot Net Rocks" today. Bill and Dianne, cofounders of SRT Solutions, a firm that specializes in mentoring developers, talked to hosts Carl Franklin and Richard Campbell about how broadening your horizons with different technology communities will help you become a better software development professional. At the end of the show, Carl and Richard gave away 2 free tickets to the CodeMash conference.
